Custom Line Painting owner and 5th generation Colorado native, Josh Cole, has 30+ years of experience in the painting industry starting in the commercial field in the early 1990's. There he started his apprenticeship and worked on large office buildings and warehouses such as "Up With People"  and the Hunter Douglas corporate offices and warehouses in Broomfield. From there he went into small part production painting in a "Class A" paint booth where he sprayed various small parts from Samsonite luggage handles to aircraft recognizance antennas for Ball Aerospace. 

He then went  on to a large commercial and residential painting company where he served several years as a foreman and worked high end panting projects including The River Front Loft Projects in Denver and The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.

In late 2006, Josh became a proud father of twins, Caleb and Erika, which was the inspiration and drive to go out on his own.   

The interest in Venetian Plaster came about after receiving a paint company mailer and seeing an article with a top Venetian Plaster expert on the east coast. After seeing the beauty and what could be achieved with this product, Josh started self teaching with the help of videos, research and practice with lime based plasters. He then attended the decorative arts school of Oro Studios in Denver, where he learned numerous troweled finishes and refined his plaster technique.
